Our technician Chance called before he arrived. We are looking to replace our air conditioner and furnace. He was friendly, answered every single question I had, didn’t pressure me into a sale (which I really appreciated) and was extremely thorough and patient in explaining the replacement options. He even weighed with me the option of keeping our old current system with R22 Freon and trying to extend its life by another year or two. I felt comfortable and totally recommend him.

To start with the positive; they were extremely efficient, the employee was extremely kind and explained things well. But the price was just waaaay too out of line. We had a mini split freon leak diagnosed, and refilled with new freon and stop-leak. The serviceman was not optimic about it, and it ended up holding for only 12 hours before it stopped working again, but the bill was still $2,100. Again the service was great, nothing personal, but the pricing is crazy.

We've used One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning for a few years but recently started using their Northfield location. Greg was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. He answered any questions I had and was extremely knowledgeable. The office staff have always been easy to contact and prompt in their responses as well!

Greg came out and did the free annual check on our 26 year old furnace. He didn't try to sell us a new one- said ours is old but working well. He was personable, polite, and thorough. We will definitely keep calling Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Heating for our needs in this area. Very happy.

Cory was on time and thoroughly checked out my furnace. He let me know that the company who installed it 3 years ago installed a furnace that is to small for my home and because of that the AC we needed to install 6 months after is also to small and we probably didn't need the windows we had installed because our house is still to cold in the winter, and to hot in the summer! Nice!!🤬

This company just gave us the run around and charged $220 to tell us there was nothing they could do. They told us we would need a total system replacement for a burnt out relay on the board. They said the board alone would be at least $2000. Replaced the board ourselves for
$250 and cleaned the returns and furnace is working fine again. Was quoted on the phone when making the appointment that it would be $89 for them to come out but nothing was mentioned about the over $100 “diagnostic” charge once all was said and done- or should I say not done. Very dishonest business practices.

The online appointment request system was easy. In a follow up phone call I was offered an earlier appointment. Commuication was excellent. I was sent a photo and name of the technician prior to the appointment. They arrived on time, they found the problem and fixed it, explained the process to me, answered all my questions and cleaned up carefully before they left.

I appreciate the prompt response to my request to do a tuneup on my furnace. He let me watch and ask questions, he did excellent work and even more than I expected, and he was on time which was very important. Some companies schedule you an appointment, and then they don’t come - and then they expect you to reschedule.

Very happy with the service provided by Cory. It was a 3 day project. He worked late on the last day to complete the replacement of our boiler. He was very friendly and was sensitive to our needs. Final result was like a work of art - see attached photo.

Cory was super helpful when we were in a difficult situation. A relative discovered the heat was out in our home while we were on vacation. He assisted with placing space heaters in critical areas and draining all water lines so there was no damage to our house in the extremely cold weather. He installed a new furnace quickly and kept me updated throughout the process. -Thank you Cory!
Had a problem with one of the zones on our boiler system. Tried a couple things my self, didn't work. One hour heating sent out corey, he found the problem. Had to wait on parts but got the job done and heat working when they came in a few days later. Was respectful and didn't mind the animals!

Andrew Macmahon came to look at our kitchen sink drain that also had a garbage disposal, we hadn’t used it in the 5 years we lived here, it was draining real slow. He ended up removing the disposal, he was friendly and a great plumber. We really couldn’t afford the $700 but needed it done, wish you would have a discount for senior citizens.

We live out in the country with our own well which is quite shallow and is subject to having unwanted chemicals, our old Reverse Osmosis system became outdated so we had to replace it with a new modern system. After researching we decided to go with a system the Benjamin Franklin Franchise had to offer in nearby Waterford just outside of Northfield. Their service has always been outstanding, experiened professional office staff and installers. Protect your family and friends, especially the young ones.

Update!

I believe you get a true measure of customer service from a company when things don’t go according to plan. How does that company move towards the solution? Our water heater was acting up. Sometimes overly hot water. Sometimes the water was too cool. Trevor ran tests and determined we could replace a part or put in a new water heater. We decided to go with a new one. He did it today. Our Christmas celebration is in two days. Now we can safely host our family.

I sensed an inconsistent unpleasant odor. Jaymeson, One Hour, did what another company was unable to do. He diagnosed, solved, and fixed the gas leaks. He showed me the cause of the fumes was emitting from a pipe that is no longer excepted in "code" Materials he used are much better the cheap-looking pipes the other company had on the furnace. I am impressed with Jaymeson's knowledge and expertise and he is a very polite gentleman. I switched companies. I can trust on One Hour and Ben Franklin. Dustin also found a leak in the water heater. Yay!
