I sensed an inconsistent unpleasant odor. Jaymeson, One Hour, did what another company was unable to do. He diagnosed, solved, and fixed the gas leaks. He showed me the cause of the fumes was emitting from a pipe that is no longer excepted in "code" Materials he used are much better the cheap-looking pipes the other company had on the furnace. I am impressed with Jaymeson's knowledge and expertise and he is a very polite gentleman. I switched companies. I can trust on One Hour and Ben Franklin. Dustin also found a leak in the water heater. Yay!

Don’t trifle with furnace problems or cool your heels hoping things get better on their own. Instead, call the SouthSota pros whenever your furnace hints that it may need some expert attention:

  • Skyrocketing Energy Bills: If your heating costs are noticeably higher than in previous years, your furnace could be burning more gas or electricity to generate the same amount of heat. That inefficiency not only drives up your utility bills, but it also overworks the system, accelerating the wear and tear that can shorten its lifespan.
  • Bumps in the Night: Heaters are powerful climate-control equipment; they make whirring and humming noises as part of their normal operation. But when those sounds of a well-oiled machine become the clangs of parts banging together or whining that indicates misaligned components, you need quick repairs before the first frost.
  • Cold Spots: Blocked air filters, damaged blower fans, leaky ductwork, and other common furnace issues can result in uneven home heating. If you find some rooms are colder than the rest of the house, call us so we can investigate these potential causes
  • Feeble Flow: If the output from your heating vents is weak, your furnace may have a circulatory problem. Blocked passageways or an underpowered fan may be preventing the unit from distributing warm air.

Safety Concerns: It’s normal to smell a slight burning odor when you first turn on your furnace for the season, persistent or strong odors – especially the scent of rotten eggs hot metal might signal a gas leak. If your furnace uses a pilot light, make sure it glows a steady blue. A flickering, yellow, or orange flame signals a combustion problems or even the presence of carbon monoxide. These are critical issues and must be checked out.
